Searching for a Great Restaurant in Charleston SC to dine is sometimes hard, because they are all unique and wonderful. My favorite 2 are S.N.O.B (Slightly North of Broad) which offers lunch and dinner. They have the best Gazpacho soup in town. I also enjoy their Lunch and dinners. Always have fresh catch of the day that the chef prepares a wonderful sauce to compliment the fish. Make a Reservation, this place is packed with locals. Another great New Restaurant is Amen Street, just across the street from SNOB. The have what I think is the Best Shrimp and Grits in town. It has a slight sweet and spicy gravy on top of the very creamy grits. Oodles of fresh shrimp to fill you belly. Makes my mouth water to talk about it. They have wonderful salads too and my husband loved the steak and pork chops they featured last month. Amen Street has the exposed brick walls, a great bar with TV monitors above for the sporting events. You can even dine outside and bring your dog. Very cool. There is No-smoking in any of the restaurants in Charleston, but you can smoke outside. I'm not a smoker and I don't like to be around it either, especially when I am eating. Pearlz is just up the street on East Bay and they specialize in the Oysters from all around the country. That is a cool place too, but seating is at a premium and no reservations. They have a lot of community tables which is great if you are eating alone and you can meet some amazing people that way. You can also dine outside as well. There is a wonderful bakery across the street from Pearlz on East Bay. They make an amazing chocolate layered cake that is not sickening sweet and the frosting has a pinch of sea salt on the top. It think it is called Sweet and Salty. They also make sweet and salty cupcakes and they are very reasonably priced. I think $1.50 each and worth every penny. They also make the fancy coffee's and just serve bakery items. They open early and stay open until 8:00pm. Open on Sunday too. Great place to chill out and people watch. That is all for now. I will write on other restaurants in a few days. I'm getting hungry. Thanks and Bon-Appetite!
