Searching for a Great Restaurant in Charleston SC to dine is sometimes hard, because they are all unique and wonderful.  My favorite 2 are S.N.O.B (Slightly North of Broad) which offers lunch and dinner. They have the best Gazpacho soup in town. I also enjoy their Lunch and dinners. Always have fresh catch of the day that the chef prepares a wonderful sauce to compliment the fish. Make a Reservation, this place is packed with locals.  Another great New Restaurant is Amen Street, just across the street from SNOB. The have what I think is the Best Shrimp and Grits in town. It has a slight sweet and spicy gravy on top of the very creamy grits. Oodles of fresh shrimp to fill you belly. Makes ...

The Preservation Society of Charleston, SC, of which I am a member, is having their fall tours of historic homes and gardens which began on Sept. 23, and runs thru October 23rd. For tours, tickets and information go to www.preservationsociety.org .  The Tours are in the evening on Thursday and Friday evenings 6:00pm to 9:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 2-5:00PM.  The tickets are $45.00 per person and are well worth the tour of at least 6 homes and a few gardens. Sometimes the tours include more homes. They rotate houses in different areas, such as King Street, Charlotte Street, South Battery, Upper Tradd Street, Queen Street, East Battery, Meeting Street and Lagare Street to name a few....

When choosing a Realtor to represent you to either sell your home or buy a home that is in either a Short Sale or Foreclosure status, be sure to hire an experience agent the has had success with short sales and foreclosures. This process is very complex and difficult for a seasoned agent. Please do not waste your time and energy with someone who "thinks" they can do it. Hire an agent with the designations of a CDPE, Certified Distressed Property Expert. Go to CDPE.com and click on your state and then city. You will find very qualifies Realtors here. The Short Sales process is not what it sounds like, it does not take less time to close the house. The short sale is the seller is shorting t...

Paying the Realtor's Commission

All Commissions are negotiable at time of signing the listing agreement.  I have noticed that many seller ask the agent if they will do it for 5% and the listing broker agrees to the 5% but then they want to split what they have agreed to with the selling agent. Many selling agents are compensated 3% regardless what the listing agent ...
